Dr. Baldwin’s journey to veterinary medicine began as a child who loved helping animals and was fascinated by the human – animal bond. Upon graduating with her undergraduate degree she began volunteering at an animal clinic, where she watched her first surgery. She was hooked! She still feels that same sense of wonder when she takes on a difficult case and formulates a plan of diagnostic and treatment options, all with the goal of giving an animal a better quality of life.
Her passions lie in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, pain management, animal behavior and “fear free” veterinary visits, and fostering the human-animal bond.
Dr. Baldwin joins Veterinary Associates after a year of practicing at an emergency hospital and small animal clinic in Oklahoma City. She graduated in 2018, with her undergraduate degree from The University of Tulsa, and went on to get her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma before accepting an internship in small animal medicine and surgery. She is excited to return home to Tulsa.
When Dr. Baldwin is not in the office treating her patients, she can be found traveling, hiking, playing with her beagle (Edie) and cats (River, Meadow, and Cat) and spending time with her family and friends. One thing that might surprise you about Dr. Baldwin – she spent time working with sea turtles in Florida, loves the ocean, and is working to become SCUBA certified.
“I am so excited to join the Veterinary Associates family. I look forward to meeting you and your pet family and doing everything I can to help your pet have a healthy and happy life.” – Dr. Baldwin.
