Vaccinate Your Dogs Against Canine Influenza Today
The Canine Influenza Virus (H3N8) is spreading across the country.
We are fortunate that no large outbreaks have reached Oklahoma. However, the disease has become
prevalent as nearby as the state of Colorado.
This airborne disease is highly contagious and has been reported to cause death in 8% of cases.
Signs of Canine Influenza include coughing, sneezing, fever, nasal and ocular discharge.
Dogs that enjoy dog parks, doggie daycare, grooming facilities, boarding facilities, training classes
and/or an occasional trip to the pet store for that new toy, should be vaccinated. Dogs that travel,
specifically to Colorado and Florida, should also be vaccinated.
What Can You Do To Protect Your Dog?
Request that your dog be vaccinated as soon as possible.
No exam fee will be charged if their annual exam is up to date.
The cost of the vaccine is $24.00 and will require a booster in 3-4 weeks.
No adverse effects have been noted from the vaccine.
